Made from 100% cotton and finished with clean hemmed edges, each set reflects the character of traditional Ethiopian weaving — subtle variations in texture and tone are part of what make every pair unique. Their simple, timeless design works just as easily with everyday stoneware as it does with a more layered dinner table.

• Dyed using low-impact, AZO-free, REACH-certified reactive dyes
• Hemmed on all sides
• Machine wash cold; tumble dry; warm iron as needed
• Slight variations are expected and celebrated as part of the handmade process
• Available in four colors:  Ink, Flax, Lagoon, and Sea Glass Blue

The Brindle Edit:  Mix them with warm ceramics, olive wood, aged brass, and relaxed linen for a table that feels layered rather than overly coordinated. Flax and Ink create a grounded neutral palette, while Lagoon and Sea Glass Blue add a softer coastal note.

Artisan Profile

Selam is handwoven in Ethiopia by artisans working within a weaving community rooted in generations-old textile traditions. The process begins with natural cotton fibers, many of them handspun by women working from home, providing an important source of supplemental income within the community.

The weaving itself is carried out on traditional hand looms by skilled artisans who continue techniques passed down through families. Each set reflects the character of true handwork — subtle variations in weave and finish that make every piece feel personal, collected, and one of a kind.
